Abstract
Background:ToassesstheefficacyandsafetyoforalGuanxinshutong(GXST)capsulesinChinesepatientswithstableanginapectoris(SAP)inaprospective,multicenter,double-Blind,placebo-controlled,randomizedclinicaltrial(clinicaltrials.govIdentifier:NCT).
Methods:Eligiblepatientswererandomized1:1totheGXSTorplacebogroup.Currentstandardantianginaltreatmentexceptfornitratedrugswascontinuedinbothgroups,whoreceivedanadditional4-weektreatmentofGXSTcapsuleorplacebo.Primaryendpointwasthechangefrombaselineinanginaattackfrequencyafterthe4-weektreatment.Secondaryendpointsincludedthereductionofnitroglycerindose,scoreofSeatntleAginaQuestionnaire,exercisetolerancetestdefinedastimetoonsetofchestpainandST-segmentdepressionatleast1mmgreaterthantherestingone.
